DEFENDING THE AMAZON
Amazon Watch Partner Organizations in Amazon Countries

Indigenous and environmental organizations in Amazon countries face an acute lack of resources. To redress this imbalance, Amazon Watch works in partnership with local organizations to increase their capacity to mobilize against massive mega-projects affecting their cultures and environments. Amazon partner groups are highly effective advocates and play a lead role in defining our program priorities. Since 1996, Amazon Watch has provided financial, technical, logistical and campaigning support to 34 organizations in 7 Amazonian countries.
